SINGAPORE Technologies Aerospace and the Institute of Technical Education are partnering an initiative to enhance the training of students in the field of aerospace technology and avionics.

Among the terms of a five-year Memorandum of Understanding signed on Friday morning, an aircraft airframe workshop will be set up at ITE and scholarships offered to students.

Students awarded sponsorship awards will undergo a six-month industrial attachment at ST Aerospace.

The programme is expected to benefit around 400 students in ITE's aerospace technology and aerospace avionics courses annually.

ST Aerospace said it is looking to invest in human capital development for the long-term growth and sustainability of the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) industry.

As of mid-2008, Singapore's aerospace industry employs around 19,000 and needs about 1,500 additional skilled workers every year.

In 2007, the industry saw a 10.4 per cent increase in output to a record $6.89 billion.

Today, my Guest Of Honour is Tan Jian Wen !!! He went swimming with me. We should go yesterday ma right? Valentine leh ... We should hold hand , exchange chocolate ... HAHAHA, then went Yishun Swimming Complex, then saw the GIRL. Finally saw her le. She look at me while she just finish her lap :) Of cause i will look at her back la ... YI SHANG WANG LAI, LOL ... Then swim till 12pm like that , went for a lunch. Try a new food , Indian Vegetarian store. Cost me $6 but very full ... 2 different of curry sauce , 1 salad and 1 don't know wat sauces .. so sweet ... Later get diabetes also don't know -.- Then went home sleep till 4.30 watch TV ... then 6.30 go paly bb with lynette they all ... 2morrow still need attend school from 8 am to 6pm arhhh ... will siao de laaa.
